- Off-season beaches-

Off-season beaches are lonely and spacious places. Together with the subdued winter light they are very special locations of calm and appeasing mood. After cold winter nights, the sand, grass, or playgrounds are sometimes frozen. Few people come here to witness that the environment, used and crowded in the summer, appears the contrary during the winter.

The flat landscape and the missing beach chairs and umbrellas in the winter make a clear horizontal line. Many installations at the beaches are dismounted for the colder season. This gives a somehow unfinished or broken attitude to the scenery. On rare occasions there an be some snow hat the beachside usually melting away within hours.

Shapes and disposals found in these locations cannot be viewed unpopulated in the summer time. In winter, they look somehow lost and isolated within the spacious landscape.
